This family was born in 2022 with a clear mission: to bring authentic Mexican cuisine to Barcelona.
Tacos al pastor on a real trompo, traditional street recipes, and a Mexican menu designed to bring the most authentic flavor of Mexico to Barcelona.
In 2025, we understood that the experience had to match our mission, vision, and values.
We reformulated recipes, restored authenticity to each dish, and transformed the space to reflect our essence.
We elevated the service, aligned the team, and refined every detail.
Today, the result can be felt, seen, and tasted.

Chef, Portuguese, based in Barcelona since 2014, and in love with Mexico since who knows when…
After working in Michelin-starred kitchens and other renowned Barcelona restaurants,
in 2019—and thanks to his innate talent and a very clear vision—he became what he is today:
an entrepreneurial chef and a successful businessman, opening his first Mexican restaurant
in the Catalan capital and starting a story that has only continued to grow.
He understands cooking as a living language, which is why he worked for years to create
improved, authentic, and delicious versions of dishes like tacos al pastor, birria, and carnitas.
In 2022, he opened his second Mexican restaurant in Barcelona, this time with a larger
and more functional kitchen. This allowed him to experiment, expand the menu, and bring new creations to life.
In 2025, he secured a spot on the podium at Tast a la Rambla 2025, placing his Quesabirria
and his new restaurant, “La Mafia Mexicana,” in third place.
A recognition that is no coincidence, but the result of years of work,
constant improvement, and a clear vision: to make every dish a memorable experience.
And this is only just beginning.
